Under house arrest
Biography
A resident of Irkutsk and a lawyer. He is known for bringing to court the case of Anna Shavenkova, the daughter of the head of the local election commission, who was accused of running over sisters Elena and Iuliia Piatkov by car (Elena died as a result, Iuliia was left with a disability).
On 10 March 2026, he was detained using force. According to Grigorov’s defence lawyer, he was then taken to hospital, where a doctor initially insisted on hospitalisation but released him after speaking with the investigator. Throughout the day he was neither given food nor water.

A case has been opened against the lawyer on two episodes of violence against representatives of the authorities. In one case he is accused of using violence against an investigator in latter’s office, in the other, of attacking the deputy head of an investigative department during a court hearing.
On 13 March 2026, Grigorov was placed under house arrest.
