Biography

He served in the special forces of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine and headed a battalion based in Crimea. He took part in the suppression of the Maidan protests in 2013. In June 2025, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office because it saw grounds for a more serious reclassification of the second charge. Later, Solomko's charge was reclassified as treason. On 12 February 2026, he was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime colony.
