Khafiz Aizatullin

In August 2020, Aizatullin’s home was searched. He was charged with participation in the activities of an extremist organization. On 19 August 2021, he was sentenced to a fine of 200,000 rubles. On 26 October, the court of appeal replaced the fine with a one-year sentence in a general-regime penal colony. On 12 April 2022, the court of cassation overturned the verdict and remanded the case to the court of appeal, which, a month later, again sentenced Aizatullin to one year in a penal colony. He was presumably released in October 2022.
