Biography
A resident of Moscow, she has worked as a journalist and producer of entertainment programmes on Russian television (she worked on Lolita Milyavskaya's programmes "Uncomplexed" on Channel One, "Pregnant by Deception" on Channel Yu, "Chapman's Secrets" on RenTV, and made films for the TV channel Zvezda.
On 5 February 2026, she was detained in Ivangorod (Leningrad region), where Averina was visiting her mother. A case was opened against her for calling for terrorism. According to her mother's friend, Averina left emotional comments "about 'bombing Moscow', about 'Russians'." The mother's friend insists that there were no appeals in them.

In 2023, Averina's common-law husband died in Ukraine, where he was fighting in the AFU.
