Evgeny Konkov

Evgeny Konkov is a resident of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. On 17 March 2026, authorities searched his home as part of a case involving participation in an extremist organisation, specifically relating to his involvement with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Members of this community are prosecuted under anti-extremism legislation solely for their religious activities: holding meetings and worship services, and proselytising.

On the same day, the court remanded Konkov in custody.
