Biography

Resident of Yekaterinburg, lawyer. In December 2023, he was detained in Astrakhan. A case was opened against him on calls to extremism (due to certain statements against the authorities) and terrorism (due to endorsement of the activities of the Legion "Freedom of Russia"), co-operation with the Legion and intention to organise a terrorist attack "against employees of the Leninsky District Department of Bailiffs" of Yekaterinburg. According to the investigation, he travelled to Astrakhan to collect weapons and explosives from a cache. No later than April 2026, Tamantsev was sentenced to 25 years in a strict regime colony.
