On 13 October he was taken directly from the special reception centre, where he was serving the arrest, to the investigative actions. After that Semionov was placed under house arrest. Later he was charged with six violations of house arrest. According to Semionov's wife, all the violations were related to breaking the connection between the bracelet and the stationary tracking device and were recorded at times when her husband was taking a bubble bath. She added that the radius of permissible distance from the device was only seven metres instead of the recommended 50 or 100. Semionov was later charged with two more offences: his wife claimed that the connection was cut off when he was asleep at home. During the investigation, Semionov pleaded guilty, but at the court hearing he refused to confess and to consider the case under a special procedure. On 21 January 2025, he was sentenced to a year in prison, but was released from execution of the sentence due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.
In February 2024, another criminal case was brought against Semionov: insulting a representative of authority, in connection with the fact that he dumped rubbish on the table in the office of Natalia Arteeva, head of the State Housing Inspectorate for Izhemsky District of Komi. Semyonov did so because Arteeva refused to conduct an inspection of the actions of a regional operator who was removing rubbish and who had included in the contract a non-operational container site next to a playground. In September 2024, Semionov was sentenced to 250 hours of compulsory labour.
