Biography
Resident of the Orenburg region. He was convicted of hooliganism and drug possession. On 10 May 2012, while he was serving a sentence for drug possession, a case was opened against him for organising activities of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement Tablighi Jamaat. Its adherents are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. During searches, religious literature was seized from Shudobayev, some of which turned out to be banned. On 22 March 2013, Shudobaev was sentenced to a fine of 200 thousand rubles.

On 6 July 2017, Shudobaev was detained along with 18 other people on suspicion of continuing the activities of an extremist organisation. He was ordered to sign a travel restriction document. On 11 March 2019, Shudobaev was sentenced to six and a half years in a strict regime colony. The appeal court added two years to his sentence and a three-year ban on administrative-economic and organizational-administrative work in religious organisations and activities related to the organisation of public associations of religious orientation. The cassation appeal was denied.
In September 2025, Shudobaev was released from prison.
