Alexandr Maurin

A resident of the Sverdlovsk region. He was accused of participating in the activities of an extremist organisation: the investigation believed that he was involved in the movement of "citizens of the USSR". Members of this movement deny the dissolution of the USSR; it is not clear how structured this movement is or how serious a threat it poses to Russian society. Maurin was placed under recognizance not to leave the country. On 14 August 2024, he was sentenced to two years in a general regime colony. Presumably, he was released in March 2026.
