Yury Dud has been added to the list of “terrorists and extremists”

The journalist and blogger Yury Dud has been included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of “terrorists and extremists,” noted SOTA.

The day before, the Lefortovo District Court in Moscow fined Dud 40,000 rubles (approximately US$450) for failing to fulfil the obligations of a “foreign agent” (Part 2, Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences). The reason was the journalist’s posts that did not include the “foreign agent” label.

The Ministry of Justice added Dud to the register of “foreign agents” in April 2022. In November 2025, the journalist was sentenced in absentia to one year and ten months in a penal colony over a criminal case for evading the obligations of a “foreign agent.”
