A St Petersburg resident was fined for demanding additional ballot papers.

Boris Noginsky was found guilty of interfering with the work of the election commission (Article 5.69 of the Administrative Code) and fined 2,000 roubles (about US$22). According to the court, on 20 September at polling station No. 1325 he spent 45 minutes demanding additional ballot papers, “provoking a conflict” and obstructing other voters, writes the United Press Service of the St Petersburg Courts.

Noginsky lives in Moscow, but wanted to vote in the St Petersburg Legislative Assembly elections. He did not admit guilt.
