A case has been opened against comedian Sasha Dolgopolov for “rehabilitating Nazism”

Mediazona has drawn attention to the request for Dolgopolov’s arrest in absentia. The case has been opened under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism.

According to the authorities, in one of Dolgopolov’s performances there was: “an insult to the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland, denigration of the honour and dignity of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as a belittling of the significance of their heroic deeds”.

The Telegram channel Baza reported that the reason for the case was one of Dolgopolov’s jokes: “Sometimes I walk around Berlin and think: ‘Wow. They killed my granddad’”.
