The court has decided to deport a foreign national from Russia due to a review of a skirt on Wildberries.

The Proletarsky District Court of Tula has sentenced a foreign national to five days’ detention and ordered their deportation from Russia, after they left a review on a skirt. Mediazona drew attention to the court’s decision.

According to the judgement, in September 2025 the young person left a review on a skirt on the Wildberries marketplace website: “Lovely little skirt! Covers not only my figure’s shortcomings, but even the fact that I’m a guy.” They also attached a photo of themself in the skirt.

In the judge’s view, the foreign national was “openly demonstrating the appeal of non-traditional sexual attitudes.”

“The dissemination of beliefs and preferences regarding sexual orientation and specific forms of sexual relations must not infringe on the dignity of others or cast doubt on public morality as it is understood in Russian society,” stated the court’s ruling.

The young person was found guilty of “LGBT propaganda” (part 7, article 6.21 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences).
