The Prikubansky District Court in Krasnodar has fined Dmitry Dyba 300,000 roubles (approximately US$3,300) on charges of financing extremist activity (Part 1, Article 282.3 of the Russian Criminal Code). This was reported to OVD-Info by his lawyer Felix Wertegel.
The prosecution against the Krasnodar resident was initiated over seven donations to FBK of 150 roubles each (a total of 1,050 roubles).
In June 2025, the same court sentenced Dyba to one and a half years of forced labour. A month later, the Krasnodar Regional Court overturned the verdict and sent the case for a new review. The panel of judges noted that the article Dyba was charged under did not provide for a sentence of one and a half years of forced labour, and pointed out procedural violations in the original trial’s decision.
During the first trial, the prosecutor had requested three years of forced labour for the Krasnodar resident. At the retrial, they requested three years of imprisonment.
