Former Russian presidential candidate and founder of the “Rassvet” party, Yekaterina Duntsova, was detained in Tver, a city northwest of Moscow, at an evening gathering to write letters to political prisoners. This was reported by her party.
The reason for the detention is unclear.
The party stated: “Yekaterina was taken to the central police station to provide an explanation. The other participants were not detained.”
18:49 Duntsova was released from the police station, a friend of hers told OVD-Info.
18:55 Duntsova herself told OVD-Info that she was detained due to a report about an unauthorised rally. She was released from the station without a charge record.
