On 9 November in Korolyov, a city near Moscow, environmental activists Oleg Kapusta and Mikhail Rogov, as well as Rosprirodnadzor inspector Benes Ayo, were detained. Their associates informed OVD-Info about this.

That day, around 70 people gathered to record an appeal to the president and the people of Russia, demanding a halt to the construction of a road through Losiny Ostrov National Park. The police detained three men and took them to the station. There, activist Artyom Korotaev, who had come to submit a complaint about the unlawful actions of the officers, was also detained. He was released the same day after being fined 500 roubles (approximately US$5) under the article on petty hooliganism (Art. 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). Soon after, Ayo was hospitalised due to diabetes-related complications. He and the other detainees are being charged under the article on disobeying the police (Art. 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences).

21:00 Mikhail Rogov was sentenced to eight days of administrative arrest, and Oleg Kapusta to seven days. Benes Ayo was fined 3,000 roubles (approximately US$33). This was reported by their support group.
