The Navalny Team reported that the Prosecutor General’s Office has demanded that the American legal entity linked to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (the ACF) be designated as a terrorist organisation.
On 27 November, the Supreme Court of Russia will consider the claim as the court of first instance.
The post’s authors commented: “A new badge to add to our collection, and a top one at that. The Kremlin has (so far) come up with nothing worse. The ACF will become the first organisation to have gathered Putin’s entire ‘iconostasis’ of awards: foreign agents, undesirable, extremists, terrorists.” They noted that the new status will create even more problems for the organisation: it will become harder to work with banks, international partners, donors, and with sanctions lists.
“No one in the Kremlin will be punished for ‘fighting terrorism’ in any form—only rewarded. There will be more provocations and attacks. More threats. Will this stop us? Of course not. You know us,” the Navalny Team declared.
