Vladislav Romantsov, the new head of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), has been added to Rosfinmonitoring’s register of “extremists and terrorists.” This was highlighted by Novaya Gazeta Europe.
Previously, there had been no reports of any criminal case being initiated against him.
“Less than a month after being appointed director, I’ve become an extremist—I think that’s a pretty good assessment of my work. Does it mean I’ve achieved something? My colleagues can finally stop looking at me with suspicion—I can relax now,” Romantsov himself commented.
He replaced Ivan Zhdanov as director of the FBK. This became known on 1 September.
