Former dispatcher at the Moscow state housing agency “Zhilischnik in the Zyuzino district,” Tatyana Shuvalova, who was arrested in connection with the “Artpodgotovka” case, has been given a new charge, reports TASS.

The relevant information appeared recently in a court ruling that extended the woman’s detention period.

The Ostankinsky district court of Moscow’s decision states that on 10 September, Shuvalova was charged not only with financing terrorism (Art. 205.1, Section 1.1 of the Criminal Code), but also with participating in terrorist activity (Art. 205.4, Section 2 of the Criminal Code).

According to the document, a final charge was brought against the woman.

Shuvalova was detained in April while attempting to leave the country. On 16 April, she was remanded in custody. By that time, her husband and son were already abroad. The media only learned about this case in September.

  • The “Artpodgotovka” movement emerged among supporters of politician Vyacheslav Maltsev, who ran a YouTube channel under the same name and called for a revolution on 5 November 2017. Several days before that date, a court declared “Artpodgotovka” an extremist organisation, and Maltsev’s supporters began to be detained en masse. In 2021, the FSB designated a purported offshoot of “Artpodgotovka” as a terrorist organisation. This decision was based on a verdict against Moscow-based activists affiliated with the movement. Many of Maltsev’s supporters have faced criminal prosecution since then. The politician himself left Russia in summer 2017.
