Former dispatcher of the Moscow municipal utility “Zyuzino District Zhilishchnik” Tatyana Shuvalova was detained in mid-April on charges of financing the Artpodgotovka movement. This was reported by TASS.
The woman was detained while attempting to leave the country. Shuvalova was placed in a pre-trial detention centre and is accused under the article on financing terrorism (part 1.1 article 205.1 of the Criminal Code). Her husband and son had left Russia before she was taken into custody.
- On 5 November 2017, in different cities across Russia, supporters of Vyacheslav Maltsev, who runs the popular YouTube channel “Artpodgotovka,” took to the streets—the activist had promised that a revolution would take place that day. As a result, according to OVD-Info, in 10 cities criminal cases were opened against at least 35 people, including under terrorism-related articles.
